Story + Song Magick
I am here to promote understanding and connectivity through a dialogue of creativity accessing STORY + SONG MAGICK. A cohesive existence can only be maintained if we have conversations that discuss both delicate and painless issues. I hold space for voices. I give folks a container to sing their stories & heal archetypal wounds. Weaving personal lore helps us to transmute complex emotions and stories into the art of expression. I invite speakers to share whether or not I agree with their opinions or worldview. I do Not support division culture. I am on a never-ending quest to shed light on the vast spectrum of the human condition. We all have a voice. We all have a story. We all sing the same song of existence. May we sing in harmony. May we hear every voice.

The name "Rappahannock" originates from the Algonquian language. It translates to "river of quick, rising water" or "where the tide ebbs and flows," referring to the nature of the Rappahannock River. I chose to name my podcast after my home and to invoke this energy of connectivity that is water. Because I seek connectivity in a world of separation.
I launched Rappahannock Radio back in 2018. Since then, I've birthed three children, grieved the loss of my father, and released my debut solo album in 2023 - all while recording my stories in song and the songs and stories of dozens of others.
For those who've been with me since the beginning, you know this page started as Rappahannock Radio before evolving into Kiaya on Rappahannock Radio and finally Kiaya Music - a reflection of my growth as an artist and a mother. This project has been a labor of love, healing, and creativity, helping me find my voice through storytelling and music and transforming pain into something beautiful.
As I look back, I realize this journey has been about rebirth, finding my voice, and tapping into the divine feminine. The Divine Feminine is not about the erasure of the masculine.It's about embracing the magic of the womb as creation, the ebb and flow existence.It's not just about physcal birth, it is about transformational rebirth.
