Rappahannock Radio LLC has undergone many transformations since its conception in 2018. It started with a vision I had about running an old school brink and mortar radio station, just like my grandfather at Big K radio. But reality kicked in…who has money for a radio station? So I pitched the idea to an old friend and we recorded the pilot episodes of a podcast in her home.
When we two parted ways I began traveling to musicians houses to interview them. I received grants from RAAC, I have BEGGED for subscriptions and donations. I’ve done remote interviews with lackluster lighting and audio glitches and fancy camera specials with weeks of post production.
Even with all the transformations, my vision has remained the same; to promote understanding and connectivity through a dialogue of creativity. I believe that a cohesive existence can only be maintained if we have conversations that discuss both delicate and painless issues. This is why I have chosen to speak with guests regardless of whether or not I agree with their opinions or worldview, therefore, at times my interviews defy the expected narrative, in the never ending search to shed light on the vast spectrum of the human condition.
